Homefront Room Revival was founded in May 2016 by USAF veteran and military spouse Katelyn Tinsley. Along with help from her active duty husband Mark and friend Paige, Katelyn started forming a team of community volunteers to service uplifting room makeovers to deployed spouses at Seymour Johnson Air Force Base. Homefront Room Revival is currently poised to serve eastern North Carolina military families in the surrounding areas of Seymour Johnson, Cherry Point, Camp Lejeune, Ft. Bragg, and Pope. To date, the team has completed a mix of over 14 room and home holiday makeovers since originating—boosting morale for spouses going through a tough time, taking military families’ spaces from “drab to fab”, and energizing the spirit and community around those in need.
The team at Homefront Room Revival customizes each project to uniquely fit the style, interests, and comfort desired by each military spouse recipient. As an all volunteer team of mainly fellow spouses and veterans, we are inspired by the strength and resilience it takes to often run a home when your loved one is not there and cope with the military life cycle of the constant unknown. We strive to create a beautiful home to comfort spouses as a place of refuge from these challenges through collaborative design and what we call “decorating therapy”.
